    Hi

I just installed OMV using the guide here:

    I installed onto 500GB SSD and I have a 10x pre-populated ntfs HDDs.

I'd like to setup shared folder on the SSD (OMV installation drive) for app data etc... as per the guide.

Unfortunately I can't mount select the SSD (device) to add shared folder (see photo)

Is it a bad idea to do shared folder on the system drive, it's just that it is a 500GB SSD so I only wanted to use a small amount for OMV and have the rest as an a share that doesn't sleep for frequently used files.

    Thanks

    HI folks,

I'm completely new to OMV and debian

Just trying to install to an external USB hard drive and when I select the disk, I get the error:

The partition /dev/sda1 assigned to / starts at an offset of 3584 bytes from the minimum alignment of the disk, which may lead to very poor performance

It then goes on to tell me how to fix it by going back to the partitioner and recreating the partition.

However, when I click <go back> or <yes> to go back to the partitioning menu, it seems to take me to a install menu and anything else I try to do with the disk gives me an error which says "No root file system defined"

At that point I need to exit and reboot.

    Any one help?

    Thanks!

Hi, i'm running OMV on my rock64 (2gb) variant, with the propper psu, a 16gb microsd class 10.

I currently use it as a Nas & a plex media server, but it keeps crashing every other day, and that is without using it as a plex server,
I have a rpi running Kodi and it reads from the rock64 through samba, when playing a media file it is not under load but crashes for some reason.

Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, attached the syslog below

    Thank you

also have a 4tb hdd connected through the usb3 port

Well, I'm going to go out on the limb and say something is going on with /dev/sdd. :) Bad blocks - if we're talking about 1 or 2, maybe it's fixable for "awhile". Drives only last for so long. It may be time for a replacement.
