VMWare datastore on OMV OMV 4.x
New
I'm new to OMV and would like to use it for my shared datastore for VMware 6.0. I'm not seeing any how-to guides or videos on how to create and setup it up. Can anybody point me in the right direction? looking to use it for vMotion and possible Fault Tolerance.

I installed a script to automate my snapraid syncs and rather than use the gui scheduler I used crontab. I did not know that crontab has an automated script to upgrade packages at 4am everyday. Everything seems to be working on my machine except for the web gui now. I can still ssh into it and my plex server and VMs are running.
I do have a recent backup saved of the system drive, is it possible to restore to the same drive currently being used? Or maybe there's a way to avoid the restore?

I want to set up my new DIY NAS soon.
System is a B450/ Athlon 200GE.
Bootmedium is a 240 GB M.2 NVME SSD.
I will do a Debian Stretch install and then manually install OMV 4.
I want to use OMV’s VirtualBox plug in and want to have the VM images on the faster SSD.
Request:
What is your recommendation for partitioning the 240 GB for use with OMV?

PostToo bad, this is a PREG_INTERNAL_ERROR. The error code is not helpful in this case. -

Posterror is the same if I reboot and try omv-firstaid next time. error is the same for DHCP & for manual config. I'm desesperate. I do not understand why do not work and configure NIC HOW to configure NIC by hand eg: assing IP by DHCP?
