  • update-rc.d -f apache2 remove Seems to have fixed it. Thanks again for all the assistance, very much appreciated.

  • Just running sudo fuser -k 80/tcp service nginx restart Does the trick

  • When working: root@openmediavault:~# netstat -tulpn | grep :80 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8080 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2347/python tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8081 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2270/python tcp6 0 0 :::80 :::* LISTEN 4549/nginx tcp6 0 0 ::1:8080 :::* LISTEN 2347/python Just after restart (not working): root@openmediavault:~# netstat -tulpn | grep :80 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8080 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2363/python tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2400/apache2 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8081 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2332/python tcp6 0 0 ::1:8080 :::* LI…

  • Thanks, that has got me mostly working. The reboot doesnt seem to get the WebGUI working, and neither does the option to fix it in omv-firstaid, the only way I can get it to work after reboot is: Killing current process on port 80 sudo fuser -k 80/tcp Then follow the steps you laid out: Quote from ryecoaaron: “omv-mkconf nginx omv-mkconf php5fpm service php5-fpm restart service nginx restart” Any ideas on a more 'lasting' solution? Thanks so much for all your assistance also, the support here is…

  • Thanks. I get the following after restarting nginx [emerg]: bind() to 0.0.0.0:80 failed (98: Address already in use)

  • I think I have down graded to wheezy successfully, but I'm struggling to get the web gui up. I get the welcome to ngix screen.

  • Is it safe to follow the following directions: ispire.me/downgrade-from-debia…le-from-jessie-to-wheezy/

  • Output is: Source Code (23 lines) 8 = Jessie doesnt it, bummer.

  • OK so I have corrected the sources from stable to wheezy. but apt-get install openmediavault still fails as The following packages have unmet dependencies - rrdtool, collectd and rrdcached. Trying to install them using aptget tells me unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. Im guessing alot of my packages were updated over wheezy and now need to be rolled back? Edit - Have now installed openssh and have remote connectivity so copying and pasting any outputs required will be mu…

  • Bummer. I did read that, and did the Source Code (1 line) and thought that was the only solution required. Should have read it properly

  • Source Code (1 line) fails due to incompatible something. Plugged in a monitor and it boots up into OMV as it used to, and is ping-able but cannot SSH/web gui. The only command I used was Source Code (1 line) which deleted everything. Not sure what went wrong but I noticed it downloaded everything in stable not oldstable.

  • THanks for the quick reply. I did do a search but my unix understanding isnt the best, so was probably searching for the wrong thing. I have disabled the repo as /etc/apt/sources/omvextrasorg-stonburner.lsit did not exist, and seem to have completely broken my server now. omv-update completely removed everything including openmediavault.... Source Code (102 lines) There was a lot more but I had to cut it down to fit in less than 10000 characters. I obviously now cannot ssh or use the webgui...so…

  • Hi all, When trying to upgrade to 2.x it fails with the following: Source Code (8 lines) I had a look manually on e-tobi.net and noticed there appears to be no wheezy files anymore. Is that the problem? Any tips on how to progress through this? Thanks, Paul

  • Quote from "jhmiller": “ @all, Is there any call for an nzbget plugin? it uses less resources then sabnzb and has a nice webui.” I would definitely be interested in giving it a shot if it isn't too much work for you have has benefits over SABnzbd.

  • Hi all, I have had some trouble being able to see all the packages in plugins after enabling them all in OMv-extras. I used the CLI to add it by the way. I am able to download sabnzbd and couchpotato, but not sickbeard. I used the CLI Source Code (1 line) It seems to install OK, however when i try to enable I get the following error: Source Code (1 line) Thanks in advance for any help, much appreciated! Regards, Paul

  • Hi Miller, Good work getting the functional plugins happening! I have managed to install SABnzbd and CouchPotato using the plugins, however SickBeard doesn't appear in the list for me but it does for others. Any idea why? Kind regards, Paul

    OK, so I am tempted to buy another 3TB drive, copy all the data over to the 2 new drives, wipe the current drives, create a new LVM without the faulty drive and migrate the data back over, does this seem like the best solution? The reason I went for XFS was due to the fact that I have a heap of files that are 5gb+ and up to 25gb. Would EXT4 handle this ok? If I was to keep using XFS is there a way to avoid this happening again, say by not extending the filesystem to full capacity? Even if I adde…

    OK, so I did some research and as I am using an XFS filesystem it is unable to be shrunk, so adding the new drive seems to be the only option! I am planning to make a usb type live disk and place the new drive in the position of the operation system drive temporarily, then once all data has been moved off the faulty drive replacing it with the replacement. Is this possible to complete without losing any of the data stored in the LVM? I also have a 1TB USB drive which I could wipe and use to migr…

    I do have another drive here to replace it, however there are no more sata ports. I will try find a way to add the drive and the do the pvmove. Once the move is done, is it simple to add the new drive into the lvm replacing the last one and keep all the data moved onto it?

    Hi all, My smart hd scans have discovered that one of my drives is beginning to fail. I intend on doing it the drive with another and am trying to move the data off, but the pvmove command won't work even though there is nearly 4tb of spare space in the lvm and the drive is only 2tb. Can anyone assist me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Paul
