Is there an easy way to remove the IP6 boot options so I can see the device on my network I also can't disable the inbuilt Lan ports on the motherboard in the BIOS i don't think. Is there a way to fix this to return to IP4 without having to reinstall.
I accidently enabled IPv6 when moving to our new network, Now i get stuck at lo not loading and can't change it back to IP4

- OMV 2.x

if you have a monitor you can edit the file /etc/network/interfaces to remove the IPv6 lines. Try to boot in recovery mode and if you still can't boot, disable temporarily the Lan nics at bios.

As mentioned above I can't disable the motherboard nic in bios (Nic card ones, yes). I will try recovery mode tomorrow and nano to remove the lines. If this doesn't work is there an install option to reset everything to default without loosing my software raid 10 array.

You can always boot another distro from USB to rewrite the file
-
you can also try with net cables unplugged. Not sure if that would put you at login prompt

Will likely have to try a live distro I expect, Will i need to also change any settings in the web gui to stop this returning after as well. I already tried without any cables plugged in that didn't help to reach omv-firstaid.

Yes. Once you reach the ui you can disable the IPv6 so doesn't change the setting again.
-
you can also try and pull the drive to access it in a laptop or desktop computer.

I used Lubuntu to edit the files and everything came up fine, I made sure to not select ipv6 in webgui then after restarting on cli i now get no directory, logging in with HOME=/
I can't set a static ip via the omv-firstaid or via manually editing the /etc/network/interfaces.

Got fed up so disconnected my data software raid array and I tried a reinstall from usb and got a fatal grub error on 2.1 i'll get a disk and try again. Shame as OMV showed a lot of potential if you can deal with the odd bit to fix.

Worked with my 2.0.13 CD. I'm going to backup my settings next time in the backup plugin for any future possible problems (Lesson learnt). Its a pain setting everything up again.
