DAAP Plugin / Cannot connect to the monit daemon

I am running OMV 1.19 on my RPI 2 and am trying to enable DAAP (openmediavault-foreddaapd 1.2) to share my media with the AppleTV and whatever else in the house wants to play nice. What I am finding is that when I install the plugin I get errors and I can not seem to figure them out.

On install, within the messages I see:

Restarting engine daemon ...
monit: Cannot connect to the monit daemon. Did you start it with http support?"


...

Ignoring this (as does any good enginner), if I enable the plugin and try to apply the changes, I get :
"Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; monit monitor forked-daapd 2>&1': monit: Cannot connect to the monit daemon. Did you start it with http support"

I have tried installing DAAPD from the GUI and also hacking around with the CLI and get similar results.

Can someone help me out? Whats wrong here?

Although unable to figure out what was wrong, I have upgraded to OMV 2.1, and using the DAAP plugin for that version (2.0, I believe), it seems to work. At least it does activate without trouble. Now to figure out if the DAAP plugin does what I expected/wanted....:)
