Hi all,
I've been having trouble login into the WebGUI as of late.The problem I experience is that the WebGui keeps giving me the error message that my username or password is wrong with the software failure notice.
I have performed the following steps already:
- Checked the auth.log

Before this i had a notice that the user admin was banned. I fixed this by doing a reboot of the system. Unfortunately this did not fix the problem. The user seems to be unbanned for now though, as you can see from the log above.
The next step was to see what the tallylog thing is about (i've found that in other posts regarding login problems:
ls -la /var/log/tallylog root@Bruiswolk:~# ls -la /var/log/tallylog -rw------- 1 root root 64320 aug 7 09:16 /var/log/tallylog
And a stat on the tallylog:

Finally i did a chmod 600 /var/log/tallylog to ensure writability and rebooted again.
My current state is that i just cannot login from any browser, not even incognito.
I keep seeing that the login method only sends the username and fails to send the password. See:
{"response":{"authenticated":false,"username":"admin"},"error":null}
This can;t be good, right?
Mind you, i've also deleted cookies, localstorage and what not... with no success.
