I'm running happily OMV now for some time on a HP MicroServer Gen8. It has 2 built in ethernet interfaces. Currently I'm only using 1. Connected to a gigabit network.
What i'd like to do is keep using that one for all the traffic - except the traffic generated by ZoneMinder (CCTV ip cam thing). I'd like to route that traffic trough the second. Is that possible, if so : how? Or is this tricky and useless to do?
As you can see there is a lot of traffic when 'idle', just for the IPcams.
3MBbits / second is a lot of traffic?? You have a 1000 Mbits / second to use 
right.... but when it was a simple action I would do it just to see a flat graph for the regular traffic
In would also be interested to route certain traffic (port based) to LAN 2 - in my case IP based TV distribution of via VDR
The keywords for this is "Linux policy routing", you'll find plenty of guides in Google about this. Is all cli, in a combination of iptables and iproute2
