WebUI not working

  • Hello;
    I installed openmediavault manualy, as I want to use bcache (Doesnt work for me in Debian 7) Here the steps I've done:
    1: Fresh install Debian 8 (Jessie)
    2: Setup bcache
    3: add repositories
    4 Install OMV (During install I had problems with some dependencies, so I installed them manually (downloading .debs))
    5 The webUI was a blank page so I installed OMV (the same version) in virtualbox and copied /etc/nginx to my server's /etc/nginx directory (previusly I removed the directory so when I copied it was empty)

    Now when I acess to my server via webUI shows login but when I try to login starts loading for a while and then shows a message: connection failure
    Is there a solution?
    Thank you;
    Oier
    PS: Sorrry for my bad English

    OMV does not work with Debian 8 Jessie. And we have no timeframe when OMV 3 based on Jessie will be available. Did you try bcache with the backports 3.16 kernel?

    omv 7.0.4-2 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.5 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.10 | compose 7.1.2 | k8s 7.0-6 | cputemp 7.0 | mergerfs 7.0.3

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github

  • Yes, i know that bcache is not working in kernels older than 3.10 (Debian 7 uses 3.2 as default), so I also considered installing 3.16 backports kernel but for some reason is not working
    Thank you for your answer

  • As there is not an easy solution for my problem, I'm going to install as allways OMV and I'm going to wait until OMV 3.0 is released.

    Did you use the install backports button in omv-extras?
