WebDAV??

  • Ok i found that Webdav can be accessed throught http://<myIp>/webdav with a web browser

    Now 3 questions:

    1. When i log in to webdav by browser it shoes me the share dir i have configured. So far, fine. But when i change to a subdirectory, these are always empty. The user i am using should have enough rights. How can i make subdirectories available?

    2. Logging in using a WebDAV client does not work. I use the same URL as for 1. http://<myIP>/webdav

    Error is:

    Code
Der Remoteserver hat einen Fehler zurückgegeben: (405) Unzulässige Methode.
       bei Rei.Fs.Webdav.WebdavFs.GetResponse(HttpWebRequest request, Boolean notreqstream)
       bei Rei.Fs.Webdav.WebdavFs.GetResourceOptions(Uri target)

    3. Webdav now uses the same port as the OMV admin GUI. Can i point webdav to another port? I want Webdav to be accessible from the internet but not the admin GUI.

As a sidenote: Sabredav website says

    Zitat

Nginx versions 1.3.9 or higher should work.

  • Ok i solved 1. It was a rights issue.
I guess 3. should be possible to solve by allow/ deny directives and IP ranges (that's how i would have solved it with Apache at least).

What i cannot get to work is 2. using webdav through windows explorer or a webdav client.
Using a browser works fine, windows explorer does not.
Anyone got it to work through windows explorer as a network drive?

  • Hi,

I have access to it via my mac and iphone but found this link maybe it would be of help, i didn't try windows yet

I am facing another issue which is the file size limit, "request too large" when I need to upload big files.
