Problems with Plex activation

  • Hi Guys,

    it looks like the webfront end for plex got a small bug.
    So it is not possible to activate PLEX in the WEbfrontend with out select an path.
    My plex should run in the original path, because the ssd of the system is running 24/7.

    See the picture in the attachment.

  • In this file:

    /var/www/openmediavault/js/omv/module/admin/service/plexmediaserver/Settings.js

    and this function change these values and then refresh browser:
    allowBlank : true,
    allowNone : true,

  • Hi the change is not working.

    After i change the values the path is automatically change to /plexmediaserver.

    But i want to use the original path: /var/lib/plexmediaserver

    Do you have an other idea how to fix this?

  • I just changed it like you wrote.

    Just activate and push save.
    Then the path is changing von /var/lib to /plexmediaserver

    Here are some picture, both after the change:

  • Code
    <plexmediaserver>
          <enable>0</enable>
          <db-folder>/var/lib/plexmediaserver</db-folder>
          <mntentref/>
          <showtab>0</showtab>
        </plexmediaserver>

    After set the activation button:

    Code
    <plexmediaserver>
          <enable>1</enable>
          <db-folder>/plexmediaserver</db-folder>
          <mntentref></mntentref>
          <showtab>0</showtab>
        </plexmediaserver>

  • Where is omv the path getting from?
    Is there a setting file where the /plexmediaserver path is comming from?

  • Hi Guys,

    just installed OMV 3.

    Got the same problem.
    Is it possible to add the orginal plex path as a standard in the pull down menu?

    Mit omv 3 ist das verhalten immer noch das gleiche.
    Kann man nicht den Standard Pfad im Pfad Menü direkt hinterlegen?

    Cheers Robert
