Recover OwnCloud installation

I've had some issues after changing some file/folder permissions on the /var/www/owncloud folder so I decided to remove the plugin and clear everything.
I removed the plugind and removed the /var/www/owncloud folder. Also did a --purge.
Now when I install the plugin the /var/www/owncloud folder is missing most of the files, see:

~$ ls -l /var/www/owncloud/
total 2
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Dec  8 09:58 3rdparty
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 1024 Dec  8 09:58 apps

And of course, the owncloud application won't run anymore.

How can I recover the whole installation of OwnCloud?
