Autoshutdown not working every time

  • Most time autoshutdown works perfect. But this day I saw it is not going to hibernate. In the log i see the following entries:

    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: '------------------------------------------------------'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' new supervision cycle started - check active hosts or processes'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' retrieve list of active IPs for 'eth0' ...'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' PINGLIST: /tmp/autoshutdown/pinglist does not exist. Skip fpinging hosts'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' No active IPs in the specified IP-Range found'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' Check Connections for 'eth0''
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' _check_net_status(): Found active connection on port 139 (SMB/CIFS) from 192.168.1.2'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' Found 1 active socket(s) from Port(s): 21,22,139,3689,6991,9091,49152,80'
    Dec 10 21:03:22 openmediavault logger: autoshutdown[10794]: INFO: ' sleep for 30s.'

    At this time, the client using this ip was sleeping. I was not able to ping it with my laptop. So why does omv think that there is already a connection using this port if it is not running`?

  • Yesterday I have observed exactly the same behavior as eric1905 has described.

    Autoshutdown has reported an active SMB-port 445 but the machine was switched off. And yes port 445 is configured in the sockets list. It´s a Windows 7 machine which was shuted down while a connection to a Samba share on my OMV NAS exists.
    Is it necessary to disconnect from the share before shutdown? Would be annoying.
