Grow Raid 10

    Hi,


    How can I grow my raid 10 array (currently with 4 drives).
    I do want to grow my array with 2 drives, for a total of 6 drives.
    (Grow button not active in gui and raid at the moment not active in file system.)


    What is the best way to go?

    Pretty sure you can't. Even more sure you can't with the version of mdadm including with Debian Wheezy (OMV 1.x and 2.x).

    could this work?


    - create 3 mirrored arrays of 2 drives.
    - create striped array of 2 mirrored arrays
    - later on grow the striped array with the third mirrored array
