Using OpenVPN

  • I am attempting to set-up a LAN-LAN VPN . . . Maybe this isn't the best solution for what I want to accomplish, but here goes. OMV 2.1.23 with OpenVPNas

When remote user tries to connect, it doesn't show remote user any network shares. . . . can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • It is a routed VPN. You need a bridged VPN for this. You can use the remote share plugin to mount the shares on the remote machines. With OpenVPN AS you can do a bridged VPN but it only works with Windows clients.

  • Hello CptHowdy,

you have to add a route from your VPN network to your home network.

    push "route *IP* *Subnetmask*"

I am using the OpenVPN Plugin because there ist no user limitation like in OpenVPNAS
