    • Without test users no bugs are found. So if the number of problem reports decreases the feeling that OMV3 is ready increases :)
      Absolutely no support through PM!

      I must not fear.
      Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
      I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
      Only I will remain.

Will 3.0 be 100% ready confirmed to go before "stretch" is released as stable in a couple of months . . . .
Other than being a smartass, is there any correlation between stretch's release and OMV being declared 100% confirmed? Volker has said core OMV is ready. He was just waiting on third party plugins. In my opinion, OMV 3.x is ready. The only plugin missing is the luks encryption plugin. I started work on it but need help...

    • Hi all,

I have openmediavault install on my server (version 2.2.13), with OMVExtras repo
      As I understand, to upgrade
I only have to lauch this command as root :
      apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv EDEE7D73
      omv-release-upgrade

does the OMVExtras repo will be update or should I add to modify the source list ?

      Thanks
      Vincent

seems that the dnsmasq plugin was not upgraded to a 3.x version, so I am removing it and trying to reboot

dnsmasq is the issue, as I read somewhere else that the plugin will not be ported I assumed the upgrade would have disabled it by default (it was not) .. so not sure what was causing the upgrade to stop, but finally after removing the dnsmasq part, all sees to be working
