I am considering installing DNSMASQ & would appreciate any input from members
Is it easy to configure?
Am I going to screw up my system if I press the wrong key or enter the wrong number?
Is it stable?
If all the above are ok, where do I get the newest version & how do I install it?
I downloaded a package but OMV won't accept the upload.
Many thanks

It is stable with stable settings. Better question to ask is why are you installing it?
Do you have omv-extras installed?

I have a voip system on my network which requires a split FQDN to work on external extensions - I thought this might be the easiest way to achieve that.
Yes I have omv-extras
I have just updated everything on OMV but have a bit of an issue now that when I check for updates I get an error
It starts:
Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; apt-get update 2>&1': Err http://security.debian.org wheezy/updates Release.gpg Something wicked happened resolving 'security.debian.org:http' (-5 - No address ....its goes on for quite a bit after that.

I guess it might work with that setup. Never tried. Try it in a VM first. It is in the omv-extras testing repo.
You need to set your dns servers in the network tab.

Ok - updates sorted - thanks for that
