Install OMV on Zyxel NAS540?

    • Offizieller Beitrag

    If you can get Debian Wheezy on it, then you probably can use OMV. You will need a serial adapter and this isn't easy.

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

    Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

    Please put your OMV system details in your signature.
    Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!

    It seems that somebody got debian on that NAS540 to run!

    I would so nice if we can run openmediavault on this NAS-System.
    The 5.11 FW is really bad. Not 100% bad but not a really nice software work. Old librarys, some security issues, slow update support.

    Let us see what we can do, then we can write a good nooby how-to and ask for donation and the end and at the beginning.

    I had some soldering skills, own a nas540 and i am free to test something out. (Jes, with risk of bricking this peace of SW sh*t :D )

    You didn't have any questions in your previous post. So, I assumed you were working on it. I don't have one so it is difficult to help with a lot of things. What do you need help with?
