Increasing system disk size

  • Hi! I'm trying to resize my filesystem, first I restored a Clonezilla backup on a larger drive and now i want to expand it in order to gain more space for new plugins (I ran out of disk space trying to install plex after a couple of thing cause I was using a 2GB sd card). It is possible to do so? I searched but found nothing. Thanks!

    Use gparted-live.

  • It is possible not only to shrink but expand the system partition? I tried with gparted on Ubuntu (not gparted-live) but doesn't let me use the unused space on the primary partition, only on the swap.

You probably need to move the extended partition (swap partition is inside this partition) to the end of the disk. Then you can expand the OS primary partition.
