Wlan0 not configuring

  • I have a set up based in a raspberry pi. I find that when it boots it does not work.
    There is no wifi connection.
    However running

    ifup wlan0

    fixes it.

I find that after running the command a ping to http://www.google.com works.

I would welcome advice on how to either integrate this into the boot process or otherwise solve it so that I can operate the system without needing a screen.

  • If ifup wlan0 solves it it may be misconfigured in /etc/network/interfaces

To simply run the command on boot you can add it to /etc/rc.local
