[SOLVED] Can't boot into install disk

I download .3 amd64 iso, burned it to a cd and installed over an existing .2 installation. After the installation, the system just continues to reboot. If I boot into the .3 cd again, I see Text Install, Recover, Auto etc. If I select any option, I see a white screen but the system just reboots again.

Any suggestions on how I might fix this? Thanks, Lars

The CPU I am using isn't 64-bit. I downloaded the 386 version and all is well.
