Hi all,
I have a OMV 2.1 server with a hostname of backup01 og domain as local. so i would assume backup01.local is the FQDN. its running its SMB in a workgroup called workgroup.
I have a backup software running on a PC that needs to remote validate a user on the NAS the user i created in OMV is backup01.
I can't get the backup program to validat the user up against AD on the OMV server. it works fine with the local AD but i can't use that. Or rather im not allowed.
So i have tried the following for username to get the backup software to ask the nas for validation:
backup01\backup01
backup01.local\backup01
192.168.1.24\backup01
do i need to turn something on or off to get this too work?
