Easiest way to Jbod in OMV?

  • Hi

I have several disks of diffrent sizes and brands, so i would like to Jbod, i dont see this setting under raid, so is there a simple way i can do this in OMV?

also, will i lose the files i have on the disks if its jbod? their all in ext4 filesystem.

    Thanks in advance, Tom

  • i would install with only drive designated for OS installed. . . . then after install, power down, hook up all other drives, then power it up. . . use SMB plug-in to share each drive individually. . . . voila JBOD ready to go

Use the Unionfilesystems plugin and create a mergerfs pool. This will make all your drives look like one big drive.
