SoftDog: cannot register miscdev on minor=130 (err=-16)

Hello OMV enthusiasts,

I have OMV sweetly running, with little hessel on a RP2.
Due to a faulty screen I decided to move to a new laptop and turn my old laptop in an OMV server.
All exited to run OMV on a proper 4 core i5 I written the ISO for x64 system on an USB.
Booted, installed and started. But errors during booting and no OMV.
But I can login as the root user, so not all is lost.
I took photo's with my phone from the text that is spitting out during the boot, see attachments.

So it ends with:
SoftDog: cannot register miscdev on minor=130 (err=-16)

Does someone know what to do?

tried FreeNAS
almost no problems, but wait... no NTFS support.

Tried OMV 3.0.2. erasmus.
Bam, no problem.
not sure if this was the right solution, but will see

Oke, so I run into some update issues which prevents me from installing the extra repository for the good stuff.
I checked the warning page. I definitely do not know what I am doing, so I will give OMV 2 another go tonight.

Can nobody help me with the SoftDog issue?
Will change some variables tonight, other cables, USB etc.

oke, OMV 2.1 is up and running, no idea what was going on.
It is now upgrading everything in the Update manager.
sorry for everybody's' time.

Just for the record, the install was on a laptop: Dell XPS 15 L501x from probably 5 years ago.
