Virtualbox plugin - Could not connect to host (http://127.0.0.1:18083/)

  • Hi.


    After logging in the console I always receive the following error
    Could not connect to host ( http://127.0.0.1:18083/ )


    This started after installing Virtualbox plugin

    Additional info
    In the dashboard, the VirtualBox Webservice is enable, but Running shows a red dot .

  • you should try to fix the backports through the gui or by omv-virtualbox-fixmodule in console.



    After the first reboot, I didn't receive any errors! :)

  • Hi I have the same problem.


    I'm using Backport-Kernel because of Intel 219 NIC.

    In dmesg there are no infos, but in vbox-install.log

    Makefile:183: *** Error: unable to find the sources of your current Linux kernel. Specify KERN_DIR=<directory> and run Make again.  Stop.


    I don't know how to fix this. Please advice.

    Click the install headers button in omv-extras.
