Only via OMV configured Network interfaces are listed in System - Network - Interfaces. You have to add a configuration for this interface before.
all detected interfaces are listed in the dashboard widget.
just checked, you're right i can see it in the dashboard.
if i click add vlan, select parent interface as tun0 and enter my ipv4 and netmask, would it make it work or would it ruin the already configured tun0?
as0t0 not showing the widget.
@shant1993 It would likely mess up the config for the tun0. I believe it overwrites the nic config.
that's what i thought so too, the reason why i wanted tun0 to be added there is because i wanted to monitor the usage from performance statistics.
I would just like a view in the web gui that shows all the adapters, virtual or whatever. But my adapter for OpenVPN AS is not even showing with the widget.
just to clear things out, i have installed openvpn client via SSH with "apt-get install openvpn", not with the provided plugins in the webui.
Any update? I can't add tun0 as interface, only as bond or vlan. Want to monitor bandwidth on tun0.

tun interfaces will not be supported by OMV. Maybe a plugin will do that, but not the core system. But starting with OMV 4.0.18 you can add your custom interface stanzas by adding a file to the /etc/network/interfaces.d directory.
