I think we should have a section on the forum just for scripts!!!
Onboard LAN not detected during Installation

Thank you.

Hi guys,
I did linux header and intel.sh. Afterwards:
Shutdown
unplug the RTL card
connect onboard lan.
start nas
login
shows me the intel ethernet controller as postet before
says there is no device.
gives 127.0.0.1Afterwards I plugged in the RTL card again but left the cable connection at the onboard lan. I know it makes no sense. Basically the only thing that happens is: at start because RTL card has no connection, the boot process pauses shortly and continues. And of course
as always.
And
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet .....
inet Adresse:192.168.2.111 .....
.....lo Link encap:Lokale Schleife
inet Adresse:127.0.0.1 -
Ok, first boot without the realtek card, login locally, then remove this file
rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
Reboot, login again
ifconfig eth0 up
If it doesn't say anything is good, then try
ifconfig eth0 IPADDRESS #change ip address of course for one that you use.
Then try access the omv webUI on that address. If successful proceed to reconfigure the network interface in the web panel DHCP or static whatever you want.

Guys,
Where is this script download the Intel driver from?
I downloaded mine from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.c…nections-under-Linux-?v=t
-
-
The driver from Intel site is v3.3.4.
Didn't know there is a project for e1000.
What's the different? -
No idea. I just wrote the script to help a user who was having issues compiling and installing the driver. Never needed it myself.
