full /tmp after changing ACL's

  • after changing ACL's through GUI i have this

    Code
    root@server:/# df -h
Dateisystem Größe Benutzt Verf. Verw% Eingehängt auf
    tmpfs 2,0G 2,0G 0 100% /tmp

I find a 2 GB file file in /tmp which name starts with bgoutputXXXXX full of:

    Code
chown: changing ownership of '/media/XXXXXXXXXXXXXX/XXXXXXXXXXX/.snapshot/@GMT-2016.06.02-22.00.03/XXXXXXXX/XXXXX/XXXXX/XXXXXXX/XXXXXX.xxx': Read-only file system

I know it is because of my BTRFS snapshots i have there and I can't move them to another spot since i pass them to samba via vfs modules.
I deleted the file and now I am back to normal.
My question is: How do I avoid the overflow of /tmp since my system ends up in acting weird while /tmp is full?

Mount /tmp as a filesystem instead of using tmpfs or add more memory to the system. I don't recommend increasing the amount of ram that tmpfs can use.
