copy data while resyncing RAID1

Hello,

I have set up a new OMV with a RAID1. Suddenly my system told something about a hardware cpu-error and reboots after 30 seconds. Now my system is running again. Now it is active and resyncing the RAID. Can I copy data to the RAID while resyncing, or is it better to wait the 500 mins ?

You can start a copy, but it will slow everything down. There's only so much iops to spare...

Okay; I will copy my data back to my RAID-system. The time for resyncing increases to 3000 (- 15000) mins ...

From data security standpoint it does not matter.

But regarding your hardware CPU errro ... erm ... I would not trust that system in any way and would not put any data on it. This is something very serious and never happens in normal circumstances.
