Active Directory

  • This is not really an issue but this is the best suited topic on the forums but anyway i think if someone could make a plugin for adding Active Directory Domain Controller to OMV that would be amazing as i am looking to get a AD DC server.

Samba has the capability to be a Domain Controller so i dont think it would be too hard. i would do it my self but im noob at linux

There is a thread for requesting plugins. This plugin would not be easy and a lot of work. I wouldn't count on this happening any time soon.

Also, you posted about OMV 2.x. By default, OMV 2.x includes samba 3.6 which cannot be an AD DC. Samba 4 can but you would have install the backports version of samba on OMV 2.x.
