Can't access SnapRAID created smb share

  • I created an SMB share with snapraid and I cannot access it with Windows. Sharing the individual drive seems to work however. Thoughts?

    Thanks

EDIT: I have made a pool using mergerfs. The result I can't seem to share. I am not including the parity drive as part of the pool either.

snapraid doesn't create any samba shares other than a read-only pool. I don't recommend using that either. If you want to share the drives as a pool, use the unionfilesystem plugin and use mergerfs.

  • I had the same problem while setting up OMV 3 this weekend. There's already a solution in the thread about the unionfilesystem plugin. You just have to add defaults,allow_other to the options while creating/editing your pool.
