I have just updated to openmediavault-netatalk 0.4.2 and am having problems with my AFP shares Previously all was working fine but this update seems to have changed the guest logic and also some of the other Netatalk settings? Here's a summary of what I have found with the new (0.4.2) update:
ZitatAlles anzeigenNO guest shares available in Finder when clicking on the AFP server listing:
$ sudo cat AppleVolumes.default afpd.conf
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/Backups" "backups" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/share/" "share" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/media" "media" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/5e3e0c77-d715-4841-bd81-52ab54e28d17/backup2" "backup2" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/9ed83846-5516-4021-a05f-f34bbe8de893/backup1" "backup1" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
- -tcp -nosavepassword -nozeroconf -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so -guestname "ianch"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After setting guest access to media share, other shares now available as guest but media is not visible for Guest:
$ sudo cat AppleVolumes.default afpd.conf
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/Backups" "backups" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/share/" "share" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/media" "media" options:upriv,usedots allow:nobody rwlist:nobody
"/media/5e3e0c77-d715-4841-bd81-52ab54e28d17/backup2" "backup2" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/9ed83846-5516-4021-a05f-f34bbe8de893/backup1" "backup1" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
- -tcp -nosavepassword -nozeroconf -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so,uams_guest.so -guestname "ianch"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Override guest access to use global user for "media" share only. *All* shares now available as guest in Finder:
$ sudo cat AppleVolumes.default afpd.conf
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/Backups" "backups" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/share/" "share" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/8412d3e1-330d-4281-b5cc-f8429f58ccdb/media" "media" options:upriv,usedots allow:nobody rwlist:nobody allow:ianch rwlist:ianch
"/media/5e3e0c77-d715-4841-bd81-52ab54e28d17/backup2" "backup2" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
"/media/9ed83846-5516-4021-a05f-f34bbe8de893/backup1" "backup1" options:upriv,usedots,invisibledots
- -tcp -nosavepassword -nozeroconf -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so,uams_guest.so -guestname "ianch"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also:
"Enable Time Machine support for this share" and "Make dot files invisible" not honoured. Attributes are set in AppleVolumes.default but OMV GUI not presenting correct values. If you toggle these values, when you re-load the share details,, the tick box is cleared even though the setting is in AppleVolumes.default
Is anyone else seeing any issues in 0.4.2?
Many thanks
