Own NAS with USB-harddisks => Now i'll change from Raspi 2 to Odroid XU4 without data loss.

  • Hallo Leute

    d) Falls ich da was anpassen muss - was muss ich da konkret alles "umschreiben"?

    Martin

    hi Guys

I'm an absolute novice in the world of Linux, OMV and Raspberry Pi.
Nevertheless, I have built a NAS with OMV on my Raspi 2 this weekend and it works fine
(4 pcs. USB3 HDD on a USB 3 Hub on the Raspi)
(OMV version 2.0.15) - merit and praise to the developers of OMV: thumbsup:

Because that worked out so great, I would like to equip the base with more Preformance now => Odroid XU4 replace the Raspi 2 (advantage Gigabit LAN and USB 3 ports for USB connected via USB HUB 3 3 plates).

Of course I want the "old" plates (integration and creation by OMV web interface), including data (are quite a few GB up) use the ODROID further and that is where I turn my fear to you and ask for help – please help a lay: D

    a) If I dismounte the plates on Raspi and then I remount it on ODROID, clears my newly launched ODROID-OMV plates medium byformating?

    b) If the disks are not formatted by the new Odroid-OMV, can I get then also access the old data readily?

    c) Or do I have to create a new path anyway?

    d) If I have to adapt it - what do I have to actually "rewrite" everything?

I'll thank you now very much for your help and apologize aboutmy tangled Geschreibsels - do not know how I could convey my intentions more clearly: rolleyes:

If you still be needed more information for answering, please specify just what is all needed.
I deliver then as soon as possible.
    Kind regards
    Martin
