Webif Not working since try to Upgrade (but failed)

Hi,
i am from germany and today i tryed to upgrade my OMV installation (thought i will test v3....).
I did omv-update
then omv-release-upgrade

Then i restartet.....

Then i countered that something doesn´t work right in webif, so i again did omv-update... Tooks much longer than first time...

After a reboot WEBif still doesn´t work.

Read a little bit, tried few things, but nothing worked... Did omv-firstaid to restet network etc. but all didn´t help.

SSH and SMB and FTP all working.

I am not a Linux Pro, so i now don´t know what to do to get Webif working again.

I managed to get it back to login screen from webif (wich didn´t work first) but now if i press login it gives an error:
"Failed to connect to Socket: No such file or directory"

Anybody can please help me to get my OMV Webif get working again? Don´t know what to do now or whats wrong

Go to the CLI and start

Bash

# omv-engined -d -f

to see why the daemon is not starting. I assume you've installed some plugins that are not migrated to OMV3.

So could it be that it is fail2ban that causes the error?!? How can i uninstall this?

The problem is the openmediavault-fail2ban package. You have to upgrade it to 3.x or remove it.

Use

Bash

# apt-get remove openmediavault-fail2ban

to remove it.

Ok, thank you, this worked.. Now i tried to use update, but then i became a error:

Restartet the whole system before to prevent that it needed a restart after fixing fail2ban failure...

I attached Error as TXT because more than 10.000 Signs.
