OwnCloud: Operation not supported setfacl

  • Hi all,
I have a problem configuring ownCloud on my Openmediavault on RPi B+.
Istallation works ok, however after configuring and activation of the ownCloud service (without any shares), and clicking on "save" and "apply", I get an error message saying

Failed to execute command 'export LANG=C; setfacl --recursive --modify default:user:www-data:rwx,user:www-data:rwx -- '/media/3C368F8B368F44BC/multimedia/Movies/' 2>&1': setfacl: /media/3C368F8B368F44BC/multimedia/Movies/: Operation not supported setfacl [.....]

The filesystem of this share is NTFS (which does not support ACLs) but I did not even configure it in the ownCloud shares.
    What can I do?

Are you using the Owncloud plugin? I wouldn't use ntfs for any Linux/OMV service.

  • Yes, using mediavault ownCloud Plugin v2.0.3.
Normally, ownCloud supports sharing of ntfs filesystems.
However, in this case I do not even want to share the ntfs filesystem via ownCloud.
The plugin wants to change the ACL even though the filesystem is not even configured in the ownCloud shares.

The plugin is no longer maintained. I wouldn't use it. There is a long thread about installing owncloud here. And I still wouldn't use ntfs for anything other than temporary transfer.

  • Ok, thanks.
I think I will skip that because that would require me to install nginx and MySQL plugins which would probably exceed my RPis capabilities.
Would it be possible to add a short notice in the plugin descriptions if a plugin is not supported/maintained anymore?

@votdev will have to do that. Maybe it should just be pulled?
