Plugin search doesn't work

  • Hi all, I am a longtime user of OMV but have not posted to this forum much. I ran into an issue I cannot solve. I am on OMV version 2.2.11 (stone burner) and would like to install the minidlna plugin. When I put a keyword in the search box nothing shows. I have tried various key words (dlna, minidlna, plex, etc...) but the results are always blank. I can confirm that the Update Manager is working properly so DNS should be fine.

    I'm not much of a Linux admin so I was hoping to use the GUI to install the plugin.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you.

    Do you have omv-extras installed? What plugins are in the Plugins tab list?

    omv 7.0.4-2 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.5 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.10 | compose 7.1.2 | k8s 7.0-6 | cputemp 7.0 | mergerfs 7.0.3

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github

  • Thank you for the response. I show that the following plugins are installed. I believe I installed the USB backup plugin a while back but the others are from the default install...I think. I don't see that I have any plugins from omv-extras.

    openmediavault-usbbackup 2.2
    openmediavault-iscsitarget 2.3
    openmediavault-forkeddaapd 2.0
    openmediavault-ldap 2.1
    openmediavault-netatalk 2.0
    openmediavault-owncloud 2.0.3
    openmediavault-clamav 2.1
    openmediavault-nut 2.0

    You must not have omv-extras plugin installed since everything in your list is not an omv-extras plugin. You have to install it to see omv-extras plugins.

    That did the trick. I followed the guide here and was able to install the dlna plug. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
