    • root user for everything?

Hi, i searched for this and never found an answer, if there is a corresponding thread, please link me to it..

I was wondering, is there another user besides "root" i can use when connecting via SSH? Something like pi - raspberry, or noob - password? :saint:
Always using root seems a bit dangerous to me, I'd prefer to enter my password everytime I'm doing sudo-stuff... I'm a linux noob, sorry if my question is stupid and the answer obvious :whistling:

      thanks :D
    • well, frankly you shouldn't be using root for anything anyway.
you should add your user to sshd group and login with that user.

    • I believe in OMV you just create user in user tab, and add it to the ssh and sudo, and what ever other group you need to.

that will allow you to login using SSH.
