rsync log empty after reboot

  • Hi,

just setup OMV 3 on friday and all I really need is working perfectly!!!

After a reboot this morning, just to see that everything works fine after a reboot...
I recognized, that the webgui logview for the rsync-jobs is empty.
Before I rebooted the server there were several pages of loginformation cause there have been "a lot" of backups.

    Is this normal?

Are you using the flashmemory plugin? It might not have sync'd back to the drive if you are.

  • No, no need to use the plugin...

Something is clearing it then. Mine is cleared too. File a report on bugtracker.

Looks like it is the weekly logrotate job causing the issue. Not sure if Volker will be able to have the log reader read gzip'd files though. Maybe he could change the config so it sends logs to systemd journal instead a log file.
