    • Upgrade from 2.2.13 to 3.0.56: Fine, but...

      Hi ho,

      used my holiday to do the upgrade. Things are fine (Shares etc), but some things are strange in the webui:
      - Hitting "General settings" lead to:

      Source Code

      1. Error #0:
      2. exception 'OMV\AssertException' with message 'The property 'dnssd.enable' does not exist in the model 'conf.webadmin'.' in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc:71
      3. Stack trace:
      4. #0 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc(186): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->assertExists('dnssd.enable')
      5. #1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc(271): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->set('dnssd.enable', '0', false)
      6. #2 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc(233): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->setFlatAssoc(Array, false, false)
      7. #3 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/database.inc(90): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->setAssoc(Array, false)
      8. #4 /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/webgui.inc(52): OMV\Config\Database->get('conf.webadmin')
      9. #5 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceWebGui->getSettings(NULL, Array)
      10. #6 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/serviceabstract.inc(124): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)
      11. #7 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc(84): OMV\Rpc\ServiceAbstract->callMethod('getSettings', NULL, Array)
      12. #8 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(516): OMV\Rpc\Rpc::call('WebGui', 'getSettings', NULL, Array, 1)
      13. #9 {main}
      Display All

      And no changes can be made there.

      - Hitting "Power Management" leads to:

      Source Code

      1. Error #0:
      2. exception 'RuntimeException' with message 'Failed to index key 'powerbtn' of 'powerbtn.0' because it has no children.' in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/dictionary.inc:145
      3. Stack trace:

      5. #1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc(271): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->set('powerbtn.0', '0', false)
      6. #2 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/configobject.inc(233): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->setFlatAssoc(Array, false, false)
      7. #3 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/database.inc(90): OMV\Config\ConfigObject->setAssoc(Array, false)
      8. #4 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/config/database.inc(96): OMV\Config\Database->get('conf.system.pow...', NULL)
      9. #5 /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/powermgmt.inc(56): OMV\Config\Database->getAssoc('conf.system.pow...')
      10. #6 [internal function]: OMVRpcServicePowerMgmt->get(NULL, Array)
      11. #7 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/serviceabstract.inc(124): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)
      12. #8 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc(84): OMV\Rpc\ServiceAbstract->callMethod('get', NULL, Array)
      13. #9 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(516): OMV\Rpc\Rpc::call('PowerMgmt', 'get', NULL, Array, 1)
      14. #10 {main}
      Display All

      Sometimes, Mail could not be delivered, but not always, got an ND Error:

      Source Code

      1. Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550-Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable 550
      2. invalid DNS MX or A/AAAA resource record
      May have to do with the first error?

      The kernel is the same as before the upgrade (3.16-0.bpo2-486). Curious?

      Source System was

      This happens because the backports Wheezy kernel is the exact same kernel as the standard Jessie kernel. Shouldn't cause a problem. I would install the jessie backports 4.7 kernel anyway :)

      Please read this before posting a question.
      Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!
    • Your configuration contains invalid data, you have to fix that manually.

      Your webadmin section in /etc/openmediavault/config.xml must look like this: github.com/openmediavault/open…templates/config.xml#L351

      Same is for the power management section: github.com/openmediavault/open…/templates/config.xml#L17
      Absolutely no support through PM!

      I must not fear.
      Fear is the mind-killer.
      Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
      I will face my fear.
      I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
      And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
      Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
      Only I will remain.
