Plexmediaserver running but no connection to server via web gui

Hi there,

after having several issues with plex I decided to reinstall it from scratch. I am actually a noob so I found a guide to uninstall it completely in plex forums: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/31215 (I don't know if this removes really everything)
Before removing it this way i deactivated plex in the OMV gui und tried to uninstall it (didnt work), then I uninstalled omv extras because I read somewhere in this forum that it could be an dpkg cache issue which does not allow the deinstallation of plex and it is necessary to reinstall omv extras.

When the System was "clean" (no plex and no omv extras) I rebooted the Server and installed omv extras and plex. Everything went great. Only the Plex installation told me that the group "plex" already exists but this did not seem to be a problem. When I activate Plex and open the Web Gui it cannot find my Server. If i click on the Settings tab and on "Server" it says "Servereinstellungen sind nicht verfügbar" (engl. Server settings are not available).
So I found this on plex forums: https://forums.plex.tv/discuss…-settings-are-unavailable
and tried to delete the files

• System.bundle
• Framework.bundle

in the directory
$PLEX_HOME/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/
but these files are not there....

How the heck can I get it running again? I am going crazy

Fixed it!

When I log on the Administrative Web GUI from home in my internal Network Plex finds my Server and starts the wizard for setting up the Medai Databases.
Everytime it was not working I tried to log on from outside but with a VPN Connection. Somehow there seems to be a difference!
