    • LVM2 - need help

      Hello all,

Yesterday I tried to shrink one of LVM partitions created automatically when I was installing whole OS.

IDK why but automat created /home 100gb and /tmp 300 mb....
Wanted to shrink home and extend tmp. I forgot one step - to shrink FS on home.

Now my OMV is running only in safeboot mode. I have no idea how to fix it. I was thinking about removing /home from group and recreate it but have no idea how to do it.
Anyone with experience with such things? Anyone can help me, or suggest best solution?

      Thank you in advance!

      @@EDIT

      I found out this:

      1. lvremove /dev/OMV-vg/home
      2. lvcreate [parameters]
      3. copy data from backup

      This will do?
      Debian 8.6 Jessie + OMV 3.0.latest Kernel: Linux 4.8.0-0.bpo.2-amd64
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400@3GHz
      Memory: 4GB RAM
      OS-HDD: Samsung SSD 120 GB +LVM

Full media and download center configured.

BIG and special thanks for OMV-Extras team for great plug-ins (especially: TeamSpeak, VirtualBox, Sonarr, Radarr, and rest I use :))

    • So guys, situation looks like this:

      1. lvremove [/path-to-vg/lvname]
      2. lvcreate -L xG [lvname] [vgname] #where x is lv space in GB's
      3. copy data from backup
      4. remove leftovers in fstab (/etc/fstab)

      Works like a dream :D

      Solved!
