i'm affraid that i break something.

Make a backup and try the script. I quickly glanced at it and didn't notice anything that would break OMV.

  • Thanks for the quick reply.

Do i need the dependencies (Libasound, glibc 2.14)? I have no idea what they're talking about.

I didnt read everything but I think the script installs those. If it needs glibc 2.14, you will need OMV 3.x

  • Hello,

I try and so here what should be done :

    - You need to use OMV 3.0 (as stated by Ryecoaaron)
    - install curl
    sudo apt-get install curl
    - install bzip2 to uncompress the file
    sudo apt-get install bzip2

    then follow roonlab instructions

    sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
    sudo apt-get install cifs-utils

    curl -O http://download.roonlabs.com/b…ver-installer-linuxx64.sh
    chmod +x roonserver-installer-linuxx64.sh
    sudo ./roonserver-installer-linuxx64.sh

and it should be ok :

  • Thanks, thanks, thanks,

    That did the trick.

    One more question:
I have a SSD with OVM installed, is the Roon database on that same SSD because that was not possible with Plex.
I ask because Roon suggest a SSD for fast performance.

    Again,
Many thanks for the great help!
