can you please advise how to update or to keep up to date OMV 3?
I would say from the command line:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
Is it ok or is there another way?

How to update it

- OMV 3.x
- dcaccount

You go the update manager under System, select all available packages and run upgrade.
If you have notifications enabled you should get an email every time new packages are available -
apt-get update
apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
apt-get install build-essential
apt-get dist-upgrade

apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`
apt-get install build-essential
You don't need headers or build-essential to update.

How is it better? You either need them or you don't. The plugins that need them, install them. If you don't need to compile a kernel module, you are just wasting quite a bit of space.
