Good day all. I can't seem to access some of my folders from my Windows 10 laptop. I set the folders up so that only I can access them. I can do everything from my Linux computer. It seems like my laptop is access the server as a guest instead of using my login credentials. I'm not sure how to fix this, I imagine it's something simple. Thank you for any help.

Did you access the share folder like this ?
\\local.ip\share-folder -
I have it mapped as a my Z drive, so I guess I did. I remember that in a previous version of Windows you could force the drive to be accessed by a specific user, but I don't know if that is possible in Windows 10.

you say, you can see only some of the folders from your WIndows PC and all from Linux. Are you sure that all the folders you want to see are listed in SMB/CIFS share?

I can see all of the folders. There was one folder that I can not read/write to. In the settings I had restricted this folder to only be accessible from my log in account. To me, it seems like my Windows 10 computer is accessing the server as a guest, instead of using my account.

Have you set in the share settings for public "Guests Allowed"
If yes, you could change it to No. By this you make sure you are asked for credentials when connecting to the NAS -
I want guests to be allowed, just not to that folder.

I thought just for testing.
