Is it necessary to run the cert-sync tool manually on a regular basis?
I could be wrong but I don't think so. I'm guessing any new certs should come from a new package and the package should do an equivalent of cert-sync.

Thanks.
I will report if Duplicati starts again to complain about certificates and if running the cert-sync tool manually fixes it.

I updated the plugin in the OMV 4.x repo. It doesn't do the mozroots update anymore either. I'd be curious to know if this fixes things.
Wow, that was fast!!!
I will try it in a VM.
Here is what I did:
No certification error. Seems to work
To double check I confirmed that ca-certificates-mono is installed.
Thanks a lot ryecoaaron!!!
Good to hear
Hi, I'm still having this issue.
Unfortunately, it looks like the ca-certificates-mono package is unable for me.
root@openmediavault:~# uname -a
Linux openmediavault 4.9.0-0.bpo.3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u2~bpo8+1 (2017-06-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux
root@openmediavault:~# sudo apt-get install ca-certificates-mono
Reading package lists... Done

Am I missing something here?
Thanks again for this, been looking for this exact backup solution!

Yep, the package is only available on Debian Stretch (OMV 4.x) and newer.
