Installation screwed up after upgrade

  • Last night i did some regular upgrades, but unfortunately after reboot showed that my installation is corrupt. I was running OMV 0.3.0 and i would like to know if it is possible to do a clean reinstall of the latest OMV without any loss of data. My data is on different RAID volumes but i don't know if OMW is clever enough to detect these volumes and shares on it.

I also came up this feature request (http://bugtracker.openmediavault.org/view.php?id=608) which would be a very nice addition if it is not already implemented / incorporated!

You won't lose any data or raid arrays but you will have to recreate the shares. That is why we recommend using Clonezilla to backup the main omv drive.

Yep, it will restore anything because it is a clone of the whole os hard drive.

I don't know if the Areca driver is included but i doubt it if it wasn't in previous releases you used.
