I've recently moved from a Thecus N4200 to a new server running OMV3. I was intending to restore my data (several TB) to the disks once swapped from the thecus to OMV but after creating a backup and moving the drive I was able to mount the raid 5 volume in OMV3. So all good really but wanted to check if I would be better off with a newly created raid volume on OMV and then restore the data?
Are there any potential issues from having imported the drives from a Thecus NAS?
