No Email from USB Backup Plugin

  • I set up USB Backup Plugin to do my backup jobs on external drives, which works like a charm. But since I updraded to OMV3 there are no emails on finished backup from this plugin any more.

I don't have the option "send command line output" set für each job.

I can see each finished job in logfile "Notes", but nothing in rsync log and no email like it used to be in OMV2

If you don't send the command line output, then there is no email to send (I think - havent tested).

Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

Please put your OMV system details in your signature.
Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!

  • I'll have a try with command line output option enabled.

Edit: Now I get an email for each job, with name of job and filelist.

On OMV2 I recieved one email with a list of all jobs buring the backup and a note at the end, that entire backup is complete.

I would prefer that note, so that I can remove the external disk

  • Is there some dependency with the system notification? I recieve notification for:

    SMART, SW-Raid, Patches

    all other are off

  • There is no 'mail xxx' in this file

Only when I activate the "send command line output" option for a backup job, then there is a
    'mail -E -s'

but still no summary email with the note, that all jobs are done, like it was on OMV2

  • well, sad to hear that this nice function will be missing. I'll set up notifications for each job or for the last in alphabetical order to achieve the same notification.

    Thank your support
