Failed to mount '/dev/sda2': Operation not permitted
The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown
Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume
read-only with the 'ro' mount option.

    ntfsfix -d /dev/sda2 might work.

If you don't want to use the command line or the above command doesn't work, did you try doing what it is telling you to do? Connect to a windows system and shutdown properly?
