Dear all,
I recently setup my first NAS using OMV 2.2.14 with Backport Kernel 3.16 on an ASROCK J3455 board (BIOS 1.1) with a Transcent 370S 128GB SSD for the system and a pair of two WD10JFCX (WD Red 2,5" 1TB) for the data. I use a 350W Be Quit power supply.
Driver information eth0:
========================
driver: r8169
version: 2.3LK-NAPI
firmware-version: rtl8168g-2_0.0.1 02/06/13
All parts are new excpet the power supply which was unused for a few years.
Plugins: Antivirus (off), Autoshutdown, LetsEncrypt (off), USB Backup, Backup, Rsnapshot, Flashmemory, locate
Shares via SMB/CIFS, about. 150GB Data
Connection to AVM 7580 router with Cat6 Kabel, 3m
Clients are, 3x Win10 PC (2x WLAN, 1x LAN), 2x Raspberry Pi (WLAN)
Somehow the system pauses frequently (every minutes or so) for a few seconds during data transmission to the clients and even on the SSH login. The WebGUI I find also somewhat unresponsive. MP3 playback directly from the shares is impossible due to the interrupts, also on the PC connected via LAN.
Status of my debugging efforts:
ifconfig shows almost no errors, ping works fine, transfer rate reaches up to 60MB/s if it is not pausing.
CPU load is low. The system works otherwise fine.
Kernel and Syslog show sometimes the following errors:
mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged
vbetool[11017]: segfault at 7f94e204004c ip 00007f94e1e25a0a sp 00007ffd45e3f1a0 error 6 in libx86.so.1[7f94e1e0f000+36000]
however, the frequency does not match the pauses
collecd some errors, i guess not so important
Any suggestions how I can get rid of the pauses are appreciated!
Greetings
Martin
