No standby with rtcwake

    • OMV 3.x
    • No standby with rtcwake

just over from omv2. to mov3. where I always used for standby rtcwake -m standby -t 36000. Works fine in OMV2. Now in version 3 it gives an error:

      root@openmediavault:~# rtcwake -m standby -t 36000
rtcwake: time doesn't go backward to Thu Jan 1 10:00:00 1970

What it means and to look for to solve this i don't know. Pls. help me what to do.

      Regards, Rockdaddy
    • from the man page of rtcwake:

-t time_t | --time time_tSets the wakeup time to the absolute time time_t. time_t is the time in seconds since 1970-01-01, 00:00 UTC. Use the date(1)tool to convert between human-readable time and time_t.

seems like 36000s = 10 h is far too small

      may be you used:
-s seconds | --seconds secondsSets the wakeup time to seconds in future from now.
wit -s 36000 to wake up 10h later than you put it to sleep
